Viranos

An open source platform for accelerating long COVID research with patient-generated health data.

Up to 30% of people infected with COVID-19 have reported persistent symptoms more than 3 weeks after diagnosis. Long term effects of COVID-19 are still not well understood. Read more at CDC.gov.
Meet us during Google Cloud's COVID-19 Demo Week on April 27th at 3pm EST!

Our mobile app allows patients experiencing long COVID to track their symptoms, collect and share data from wearables and devices, and receive support.

Viranos also includes a dashboard that can be integrated into an electronic health record system for clinicians and researchers to easily visualize data.

The dashboard can be launched from within an electronic health record system using the SMART-on-FHIR framework.
Free text responses can be mapped to standardized clinical vocabularies, like SNOMED CT or ICD-10 to assist in tracking symptoms reported by patients.

We are a team of researchers, clinicians and developers.

Our platform is proudly developed with Stanford Biodesign CardinalKit and Google Cloud.

This project would not have been possible without the support of the CardinalKit team at Stanford University including Dr. Oliver Aalami, Santiago Gutierrez and Varun Shenoy. We are grateful for the sponsorship provided by Google Cloud and the support of our Google mentor Shyam Sabhaya.
